Must Be SaboTage Alex Jeffreys Students Week
Just been over and seen that Garry is still having a few difficulties, which I’m sure we all hope get resolved very soon.
Yesterday I had all of my spare time allocated on my daily to do list.
I thought great I am gonna get my new domain name registered, knock up a quick cpanel on my hosting account and get my profit pulling platform up and running.
Spent a little time running through domain names, got one registered with namecheap, 1st time I have used them, they seem quite good.
Then I pointed the name servers to my hosting while I was registering (cool little time saver they offer there), then nipped over and quickly set up a cpanel account for the new domain (already had my hosting set up).
Thought I’m on a roll here, this was all done in under an hour, the main bulk of the time being taken up choosing a name.
Next I was going to attempt the profit pulling platform setup, so I thought I would take a 15 minute break (big mistake).
I made myself a coffee and decided to do a quick bit of tweaking to my blog, “WHY” I now ask.
Normally I try to do a little bit to it each day, but usually when it is scheduled in, this time I tried to rush it while drinking a coffee and thinking about the structure of the PPP.
In my admin panel of my blog, I made a couple of additions, scrolled down to the bottom of the page, and where I normally click on “Save” there is a button next to it that says “Delete all Data and Reset to Default Settings”, guess which one the dip shit pressed by mistake?
As soon as I clicked the mouse button I knew what I had done but it was too late there was no undo.
Everything that I had done over the last 3-4 days had gone back to a blank template (with luck it didn’t affect the posts), so instead of getting my PPP sorted, I ended up, using all the time to get my blog back to as it was.
I’m sure that there may be a little lesson to be learned in this somewhere, I know I have found a few…

Hey Rick,
Tough luck, been there done that. I have found that the bells and whistles don’t really matter as long as the content is good.
That is why I use the Semiologic platform for my Word Press blog. It’s pretty ugly when you come down to it, but it has the best plugins and is configured to be super SEO friendly.
I’ve added you to my blog roll. Mine is getting pretty long after adding all of our fellow students.

Oh no Rick! What a bummer.
Hopefully you can get it back up and running quick enough, or maybe it would be a good thing to outsource…
I’m also one of Alex’s students–isn’t his stuff great?
You might enjoy some of the free videos that I have on my blog.
Let me know if I can do anything to help!

Hi Rick
I think ‘a few difficulties’ is an understatment. It would appear that several people are having a few problems with their platform…still solutions can always be found.
Please leave me a message on how you get those emoticons on your site…I just love them.
One of Alex Jeffrey’s Class of 2008 – The Rat Pack has been awarded an accolade. You’d better drop by to see who it is….!!!
Best of Success with Module 3 Rick

That is a very good lesson learned and shared, i think buy sharing that with others they will save their selfs a lot of time, and time is important like you mentioned aboutto do list, its all about time managment as you can get so side tracked when you are trying to get somthing done, the next thing 3 hrs as gone by and you have not done anything other than playing with the Internet.
hope you got it fixed i am watching to see what i can pick up on all the Alex Jeffreys student sites its mad to think that everyone was given the same information but all the blogs are personal to their owners please feel free to look up my blog i just started it on the weekend and would love some input from the pro,s you guy’s are becoming
to your success
